Açıklama | : | Today, at a time when it is emphasized that the number of nation-states represented at the United Nations is around 200, and when the number of stateless peoples who are assumed to be nations or potential nations is more than twice this number, the status of nations who do not have their own independent states and who demand to establish a new independent state is becoming more and more important in terms of world politics. It is worth noting the situation of communities who are forced to leave their homelands at different periods and for different reasons, and of those who acquire new countries but never forget their roots and their original homelands. Within this framework, the concept of ‘diaspora’ which began to appear in the political literature in the 1960s has slowly become one of the key concepts of international politics/relations. |
